I have a 7 yr. old bulldog/lab female. She is my heart and soul. She acts just like a child. So much unconditional love. Have had her since she was 5 weeks old. I can ask her for kisses, and she will come up to me and give a couple of licks on the side of my face. That right there makes having her all the world to me. I don't have children, so I can truly say she is and always will be my child.

She, Lulu my Jack Russell, senses my moods and reports them to the other members of my family.
