My wee Chihuahua, age 12, got him when he was 10 weeks.... where does the time go ??? **WHEN** that day arrives, it will be a day of total grief for me, as he has been my pride and joy....TRULY !!!!! MY QUESTION IS.......WHAT GUARANTEES ARE THERE with the CREMATION PROCESS, IN THAT, HOW DOES ONE KNOW ...... ***IF** IN *** FACT***, YOU ARE RECEIVING THE ASHES OF YOUR BELOVED PET.... YOURS AND YOURS ALONE ????? Somehow I cannot get my head around cremating one by one ???? Realistically, I cannot see that....... Anyone out there to clarify... PERSONS WITH ACCURACY invited to responding...... Signed, FOREVER CHI, xxx

We buried TIGER at home. She was just 15 yrs and I was not ready for her to go. The Doc said they could not help her anymore and she would send her on her way, or I could take her home and wait. Hard to decide but she was so far gone I opted for DR help and she let me spend a few minutes (as long as I wanted) with her before and after, then we brought her home and we buried her across from the garden and near a tree. She was such a special dog. Didnt like kids so grandkids and greatgrandkids never took to her much but didnt matter she was queen of our house. She and Tikiu got along maybe because she was five when we got Tiki and Tiki was small. We now have another Dog called Sweetie who is going to help fill the hole in our hearts and be a friend for her lifetime not to replace but to coexist with our memories of Tiger.

We used to bury our pets on our property - we have a fenced in area under trees and since I was a little girl that is how it was done. When we lost my beloved yellow and black Lab (4 months apart), we had them cremated and they sit on our mantle and will be buried with us, along with all future animals. We have an older cat and Lab puppy at the moment and they will be with us. My husband and I already discussed which pet will be buried with who and it is also in our Will.

We just lost our beloved Curly-Q a mixed breed on April 1. She brought a lot of joy to our lives for exactly 14 years and 1 month. We chose to bury her at home and ordered a footstone so we could pay respect to her whenever we want; she was laid to rest facing her brother. She was the last of a litter of 4 pups that we hand raised. We saved a space next to her much beloved brother Coco who passed 4 years ago with cancer. We purposely faced him to right and chose to face his sister to the left. It is heartbreaking and we still grieving but it gives comfort knowing they are together in Heaven. They are also romping and playing with our beloved cat Tiger to passed just 5 months ago. at 12 years from an inoperable spleen tumor that was attached to other organs.

I chose cremation with ashes returned........I want to be cremated and our ashes released together.......place to be determined......somewhere that holds a special place in my heart........Chincoteague Island or Lido Key or maybe the woods outside my back door........

We buried our chi "tiger" in our backyard. A friend found some stones for a marker. She was 15 and such a joy. We both really love that dog. A month later we adopted a pom-chi and she is a very good fit in our home.

Our vet offered cremation with burial at sea through a pet charity. It was the right decision for us. When we remember Airborne we think of him as running off to join the navy.
