Sorry I meant: My parents still live In my childhood home. I wrote that wrong.

As a child and all throughout my time growing up I had a special place where I buried all my goldfish, hamsters, etc. My dog and cats I grew up with died when I was older and had left home. These have special places in my parents backyard. They still live in my childhood home. My Dad hand-made really nice caskets lined with soft material, etc. for my 2 cats when they died. I marked their graves with a stone kitty that is laid curled up sleeping. My babies are my family and neither I nor my parents care what people say.
I am on my own now & currently have 6 rescue babies as members of my family. 2 dogs and 4 cats. They will all be buried with me when that dreaded horrific day comes. I just can't fathom the idea of cremation but don't know any other way to have they buried with me.

We used to bury our pets on our property - we have a fenced in area under trees and since I was a little girl that is how it was done. When we lost my beloved yellow and black Lab (4 months apart), we had them cremated and they sit on our mantle and will be buried with us, along with all future animals. We have an older cat and Lab puppy at the moment and they will be with us. My husband and I already discussed which pet will be buried with who and it is also in our Will.

I am not able to dig the ground on my property because of a lot of tree roots and clay beneath, so I have cremated my animals and have their ashes. If I was able to, however, I would have preferred burying them on my property.

Burial lot in an oak grove on our property and when I go that's where I want my ashes spread.

Claire, that's my plan too.

I'm with Claire, since the year 2002, I now have 3 of my kitties in their ash urns to "take" with me when I'm cremated years from now.
