You have to draw the line somewhere, Boulder county has more open space that it has purchased away from developers and it tries to kill any fracking attempt at every point. Pick and choose your battles, you aren't just going to continue to tax everyone for this and not be willing to get some money from oil rights or sell some of your precious open space. Pick somewhere else to get your funding.
