How should Washington's football team punish Damore'ea Stringfellow?

Normally I would totally agree that kicking him off the team or even a year suspension is way too harsh. But in this case I can't get over the fact that his Stringfellow's lawyer, in court, said that he "was defending his QB". Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!?!?!
    Was Cyler Miles camera shy????
That was a bunch of BS, and I think that the punishment should be unusually harsh because he is still LYING about it!
Minimum penalty for the multiple acts of violence should be 2 games.
Minimum penalty for continuing to stick with his totally BS defense should be another 2 games.

His legal punishment was a joke, again reflecting the "cozy" relationship between the U of W athletic department and the King County justice system. One year suspension with scholarship staying in place will allow him to prove what type of citizen he chooses to be.

Witnesses who know the girl said she hadn't been feeling well (aka sick, which isn't surprising in early February in Seattle) and that after being out late at night, she fainted. Yes, Stringfellow damaged her camera but she fainted and he didn't punch her.

So kick a young man, with a previously clean record, for being stupid and damaging a girl's camera? That's far too harsh for a first time act of idiocy.

Suspend him 1-4 games, forgive him, but boot him off if he does something stupid again. Plenty of young kids need a 2nd chance after a wake-up call.

3 or 4 games is my thought.

    Too tough?

"Stringfellow admitted to “intentionally touching” the female victim “in a harmful manner” at a celebratory bonfire, where a large crowd had gathered near UW’s Greek Row shortly after the Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos on Feb. 2. The female victim, who had been taking pictures of the celebration, briefly lost consciousness after the altercation with Stringfellow, who admitted to “maliciously destroying” the camera’s lens."

No, I don't think it's too tough. This isn't USC, UCLA, Oregon, Wazzu... we have standards.

I think kicking him off the program is a little rough. I would say 3-4 games would be a significant penalty but I have faith Petersen will make the right choice.

    Never play at UW again?
Don't you think that is a little tough for a first time misdemeanor?
