Should the Fort Collins Senior Center's named be changed to drop the word "senior" in an effort to make it more attractive to a younger crowd?

I can exercise at private clubs by using my silver sneakers card but I chose to pay and join the senior center when I retired. This way I support the center. What is the purpose of a younger demographic? It is the older population that has the money to support the center. Why would younger people want to socialize with the chronically advanced? Or do you want us to just go away?

As I recall, back when they were trying to get the approval to build the Senior Center, one of the arguments made was that seniors felt uncomfortable utilizing private clubs because they felt self-conscious in the locker rooms around younger people. They wanted a place with a swimming pool designated just for seniors. If you change the name to attract a younger crowd that seems to defeat the purpose of the Senior Center.
