Disorder... Condition makes it sound like its temporary like I have a skin condition that comes and goes. Autism isn't fixable, it isn't curable, it's a disorder good or bad however you see it. It's a disorder that makes you different NOT less then. You can't put some cream on it, or get a shot or a medication to cure it. You learn to live in a different way.

Sorry condition sounds like it is curable, Autismvis not. You have to live the rest of your life learning how to do things in a different manner and harder to be able to be a productive member of society.

Condition to me, makes it sound less serious. I think the word disorder, makes you take notice, and take action. My brother has autism, he's 38 years old, in the 70s and 80s it was really new, I wish he could have gotten more help.

Condition sounds so much better,disorder just sounds like such a horrible thing.I cant find the words to describe disorder and thats not what my son likes

Condition sounds so much better and less stigmatizing....Disorder usually has negative connotations...i.e. eating disorder, disorderly conduct.
