Instead of punishing australian families and elderly by trying to raise taxes and lower welfare payments and every other selfish idea they've come up with, why not start reductions with the people responsible for this mess we are in.. the government! Ex prime ministers should lose their entitlements and go on the dole like anyone else unemployed. They should not have buisness credit cards because we shouldnt have to pay for their expensive lunches and all the non work related expenses they are used for. They should all lose their luxery drivers and drive themselves to work in their own cars. No more million dollar gardens.. mow it yourself like the rest of us. The government should be paying for every meal out their wage. Every flight out their wage. Not only are their wages ridiculously too high for the little amount of work they do running this country, but they get everything for free. Cut out all those money wasting luxerys and actually start paying your way instead of free loading of us hard working australians and forcing us to live in poverty and our country will be on the road to recovery. They way they going we will end up like america.. crime rate through the roof, gangs and poverty on every corner with people doing anything possible to survive!

I found it quite disgusting that while giving his respose to the commission sujestions he was actualy laughing just goes to show all Australian rich lawyers have either rich and deep pockets or a very sick sense of humor and had better go see a doctor about it before he announces the budget

instead of cutting pensioners and families cut the politians pay raises and stop paying polititians that have left the government for the rest of there natural living days. the government pays all expensences in that area. u want a pay rise Tony M....Aggot u need to earn it again with the trust of all australians u have broken. he cant tell the truth even if it was written on a notice board 4 him.Stop making u and ur friends rich at the expence of the rest.
