FFFFFFFFaaaarrrk, here we go again another pig caugt with snout in trough the very least he can do is resign and re-imburse the taxpayers the monies he fraudulently spent on a BS junket. All this when Abbott is telling us all we have to tighten the belt they are an absolute joke I'm gunna do everything in my power to ensure they don't get their greedy little money grubbing wasteful hands on the monies I work damn hard to get to provide for my families future would suggest evryone else does the same. One last thought, what would happen if every worker decided to take a day off without pay just 1 day how much Tax would they lose in revenue, if only we could give them a message we are sick to death of this BS we want goverment from the people, for the people.

This "quiz" is in extremely poor taste. Regardless of travel expenses, the car crashes the man has had a mental breakdown. This is a disgraceful piece of so called "news."

It's not Buswell I'm so sick of, it's Barnett, who refuses to act. I've just switched from the public service to private enterprise and Buswell would be out the door in a flash where I work.

There is no wonder that the Royal's did not visit WA. They probably heard that the 'drongo' would be there with the welcoming committee! "No worries, I'll run you's to Parliament House in the car!"

at the wedding party they were playing pin the tail on the donkey, and they forgot to take his blindfold of
    poor Troy

Depression gets a fair run whenever anyone is being charged with something these days . We're all depressed too paying for all the stuff ups our elected members make .

Disgusting... the Barnett and Buswelll duo... the arrogance, laziness and abuse that they get away with!

  • Shan-Rose - 10 years ago

This is disgraceful and advertises what a load of 'numpties; we have in our WA parliament. Buswell should have been kicked out a long time ago - for his 'antics'. And Barnett he should go with him - for allowing it and the fact he is allowing Buswell to come back to parliament is also disgraceful.

Also - the money he has been spending is 'our tax payers' money - It is 'theft'..............

    @Paul.....harden up

  • Alan - 10 years ago

You forgot the last option in the survey - he had his new girlfriend with him, and, well, you know the rest....

I am amazed that Barnett can standby Buswell knowing he has broken the law he should go too. Is there laws for polies and different laws for us commoners ??.

    Disgusting .

God help us when this guy takes over the state after Barnett's retirement.

I just wish the public and the media would leave Troy alone. He is obviously a brilliant man but has a problem and needs to be left to deal with it. I am sick and tired of seeing 'Saint Mark McGowan' on the television badmouthing Mr Buswell and the Liberal Govt in general. He is such a pain and every time he comes on television I wonder if his life has been without a hiccup or two ??????
My best wishes to Mr Buswell for the future.

Troy is Colin's bitch so let him deal with it.

  • Jim Beam - 10 years ago

The farce of the Buswell quiz is fitting given his underperformance as a second-rate treasurer and third-rate chair sniffing politician. There's the door, Troy. Close it on your way out.

Take political pressure from what? Smoke screen for what? Oh, yes I am sure the man booked himself into a rehab facility NOT to assist with addiction and mental health issues BUT to 'create a diversion' and a media frenzy on his personal life. I don't think it is I that needs to be awakened from a slumber.

This is how cynical we have become as a society that we immediately think political figures are always lying to us. So called 'news organisations' like the tabloid & web version of most of News Corps titles (except The Australian which is the only decent, fair and balanced journal in the country) cater to people who do very little analytical thinking and simply buy into the pseudo-conspiracy theories espoused. Perhaps readers of these sites ought out to seek out alternate opinions from serious journalists.

  • Bob - 10 years ago

Paul are you really that nieve you think that was the truth.. smoke screen to take political pressure and create a diversion. Wake up please.

  • Steve Gathercole - 10 years ago

Why didn't you ask the question "he was drunk", that is the obvious situation. Nobody else gets away with this sort of thing.

  • Paul - 10 years ago

I'm not a Western Australian but I am an Australian and notwithstanding the travel expense issues I find it very sad that your news organisation should make jest of Mr Buswell's personal struggles with alcohol and mental health issues. Very disappointing. Do you not realise that you set the standard for the community conversation on these matters? You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Are you a news organisation or an entertainment business?
