One of the sweetest gifts in life is to love and be loved unconditionally by our pets. In that regard, we are all winners.
While both photos capture the human animal bond beautifully, I had to vote for the first because it conveys both love and commitment over time. It's not just about being captivated by a cute puppy or a great looking animal, it's about how you treat them over the long haul. The Golden in the first photo has obviously enjoyed being a treasured family member all the days of his or her life ... as it should be :-)
