100% Tech is within their right to tell Carter he can't go to UGA or any other school we play every year. Carter signed with Tech and you recruit knowing what you have. So his decision to leave impacts the program. UGA's just upset because they can't recruit the players they need.

as a Tech grad, fine let him go to UGA. We don't want players who don't want to be here. He probably wants to switch his major to something GT doesn't have like lawncare maintenance & sports studies.

Hmmm Robert Carter considering playing for Bruce Pearl? Sounds like an idea that I suggested to you yesterday!!

Robert knew before he signed with GA Tech that they would NOT release him to transfer to any school they played against. His only exception would have been if he had graduated early, he could have then decided to transfer where ever he wanted without restriction. Based on this knowledge going into signing day, Carter CHOSE to sign with the Jackets.
I would like to add that GA Tech has made their position known to all other AD's/programs, so this was no surprise to UGA's AD when he whined like a little girl to the press.
