    Hi

Don't seem to be getting the magazine for some years - just found this from 2014!

Castile, hands down. Lately, however, I've taken to cleansing with baking soda, and have been very pleasantly surprised. I just rub the dry baking soda into my wet locs, work it in and rinse. The first time I used it, I was so shocked at the amount of dirt and oil that rinsed out, I had to try it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke...and it wasn't! I have been using baking soda now for about six months and I still love it. My locs are clean, smell fresh, not stripped, in fact, some of the color that had "faded" from residue buildup and stripping from shampoos has returned, and my original deep brown is back!

I have tried a number of shampoos, including clarifying ones, to clean my locs. My best results come from Castile soap. It is the only thing that seems to get my hair COMPLETELY clean and doesn't dry it out. I have used Carol's Daughter rosemary mint and tui shampoos, but the Castile soap is definitely my fave!

I have also tried several different types of Shampoo. Finally cream if Nature argon oil shampoo conditioner leave in and hot oil treatment is not only a good product but is affordable. On another note Paul Mitchell tea tre is very stimulating to the scalp. But I must say that the prices are a little steep.
