Canucks poll: Do you welcome Jim Benning as the new general manager?
YES: Benning’s strength is in scouting and player development, has a Canucks background and is the apparent favourite of former teammate and new club president Trevor Linden.
NO: Benning has no general manager experience, and there are other potential GMs (Ray Shero, George McPhee for starters) who have had proven, varying degrees of success.
