What a load of ill informed, attention grabbing rubbish from this guy. CASA one of the strictest regulators in the World and Qantas one of the safest airlines in the World. They cannot break the regulations. This issue relates to ADDITIONAL rafts and not the Slide rafts that are fitted as standard. Even in the Hudson (only example in past 30 years of raft use I believe) most passengers stepped into boats off the wings. I only see this sort of "knock the national airline" behaviour in Australia and almost always by opportunistic, ignorant, vote grabbing politicians.
