    Thank you Russell, for taking the time to share this valuable comment.
    Ouch! as well, as you removed your gloves on this one, but I asked for it so I'm rally thankful as it will help me too.

    Just some answers to your points then:
    - Polling about topics: I thought about it but then it would have become a slightly longer survey and I wanted to keep it snappy - but the domains (comms, KM, M&E) are hinting at that. I don't blog 'on demand' on topics that don't inspire me anyhow... but let's think about this...
    - Jargon-filled: Well, it's a KM blog so there might be some KM jargon, which kind of makes sense. But still your comment is a good reminder about that no-nonsense check.
    - Not enough original content: I feared this might be a comment. It is difficult to come up with one's own and entirely own thinking since we digest other signals to make it our own. I think I do write about my personal views, but I may have to think this through and try to step away (a bit) from rebounding on the writing of others...
    - About the divide between non-profit and corporate: sure it is there. But it is expectable considering the 'global dev' world is gamed by donor influences (think about M&E, which simply does not exist in that way in the corporate sector, but is attached to individual performance). My blogging 'world' is that of development, though I believe some of my blogging might be relevant for corporate audiences too... As you say it's a long-standing issue and it takes perhaps someone like you to help bridge that gap?
    - Thank you for the post by John Stepper. I've an avid reader of his blog for a while.

    And again many thanks for your frank feedback. I'll think of you any time I re-read my posts now ha ha ha.
    Do you blog or share your thoughts anywhere by the way? I would love to read you some time :)

    Ewen, nice strategy of engaging with your readers; I would suggest asking for domain/subject suggestions that might be of interest. The reason I skip your blog, at times, is because:
    - it is either too jargon filled and too much jargon suggests a closed language world and leads to inclusion and exclusion dynamics;
    - your blog is too much a reworking of other stuff and there is no personal or original thinking in there
    - as i am increasingly moving away from international development and working on regional and local issues, once again i am struck by this divide we have managed to make the international development and domestic/local focus; this is fascinating, it shows that there are different worlds (of thinking and working) around. I do not know if this is bridgeable, it is an area of longstanding concern.

    Good luck and keep on blogging and thinking out loud .... see john Stepper http://johnstepper.com/2014/05/24/the-best-peer-support-group-for-your-career/
