Will the Jets be over or under seven wins in 2014?

People forget that the Jets also lost two games they should have won in NE and Carolina. That pretty much evens out the "lucky" wins they had. Still 8-8 with a rookie QB and limited offensive skill position players, are you kidding me? Jets showed heart last year. More offense this year and more confidence will be a upgrade for sure, I also expect the defense to be stronger with better secondary play. NYJ will challenge for the division title, even with a real tough sched this year.

I fully expect the vote here to be heavily in the "plus" section but even i'm surprised to see over 80% in the plus column? I realize this blog caters to what i consider an overly optimistic group but 80% after an off season that produced no significant help for the corner position (unless you thing signing a free agent who is average at best when he's healthy?) and reaching for a guy in the 3rd round who most sites listed as a 5th or 6th round talent who is also coming off an injury? Plus a very unsettled QB situation which has the potential to mushroom into a full blown QB controversy and a draft that will likely only have 2 or three guys that contribute this year. And going back to last season, yes we exceeded the expectations of the so-called experts, buts lets keep it real guys. Three of our wins were against teams that finished 4-12, and three other were against teams that finished at or below .500. I suppose if the draft works out better than i expect and Geno or Michael play great we might finish 8-8 or maybe even 9-7 but i don't think anything better than that is likely.
