Thank God she's NOW GONE but he's STILL AROUND! (I wish Jerry WOULD HAVE gotten the services of that Chicago thug to "beat her ****** head off" when she was alive!) And Jerry is MUCH FUNNIER besides!

Pity the MDA Telethon is officially over. Labor day Weekend won't be the same without it. Or Jerry hosting it.

Back in the 1960's and 1970's, both Jerry Lewis and Joan Rivers were funny. Jerry Lewis became full of himself; Joan Rivers, may she rest in peace, became vulgar and not at all funny. They both should have quit while they were ahead.

Jerry Lewis has a right to his opinion but no right to threaten another person, in writing or otherwise. How does he justify his own caustic comments about other comedians - personal attacks would be an apt description - but when he is the focal point of another person's words, that's not acceptable? In two words, "he can't.' The interviewer did miss an opportunity to get the real story about this man who raised $2B+ being fired by that organization. That would have been a real interview …

Joan Rivers crossed the line back in 1983 when she had the audacity to make jokes about the late, beloved Karen Carpenter, who had lost her life that year to anorexia nervosa. What kind of person does that? But Jerry Lewis is no saint either, heavily criticizing Lucille Ball and other women for not belonging in comedy.

I applaud Jerry Lewis for the work he has done for Charity. However, being who he is and utilizing the Charity as a tool to defend himself of what Joan was actually saying is inappropriate. Jerry has not produced, according to Joan, work outside of the telethon. That is where I find he should have directed his attack, on his work besides the telethon. No excuse for threatening the life of another. No excuse for making light of 14 yrs. of experience the young interviewer had. Joan is no longer with us. I hope Mr. Lewis can let go of his pain.

I heard Joan claim she had a policy of never apologizing and I understood the logic of not having to apologize for offending people with the sometimes off color and silly things she said about people's superficialities. This is a different case.

Considering the level of success Jerry Lewis has had in his life as a comedian, as a film actor, and as a businessman it was stupid of Joan to infer that he was taking advantage of his charity work to advance his career. The reality was completely the opposite: he used his fame, his personality, and success to benefit his charity work.

Jerry Lewis is truly a living legend; even more so than Joan Rivers, and you would think he would be WAY above worrying about what an insult comic (jokingly) said about him or his career (which speaks for itself). This is a very old (rehashed) story that happened a lot of years ago and has reminded us that Jerry Lewis is also legendary for his "temperament".

Ever since and really before that Joan Rivers made the comment about the three girls/women that were kidnapped and held captive for ten long years. I have no use for her ignorant mouth. MAKING THE STATEMENT THAT AT LEAST THOSE LADIES DIDNT HAVE TO PAY RENT FOR TEN YEARS...Seriously who would say something so ignorant and stupid? That is not funny in no way shape or form. She needs to get a dose of that liquid plastic she loves so much. In her mouth with lots of hardeners in it so it stays closed PERMANENTLY.......... Go Jerry Lewis. Love You.

It was a JOKE, Jerry. Jerry has always wanted to be the top banana in everything. Ever since he teamed with Dean Martin, who was a much more beloved actor. I have seen Jerry be snarky often and observed him and he is quite the male diva. Not really a nice guy, huge ego, huge insecurities.

Love Jerry Lewis and he is absolutely right about Joan she uses her being a comedian and humor to be what she really is a nasty vulgar money hungry person.
