Seeing the results of this poll was saddening. I thought we were making strides away from racism, and this poll proves how wrong I am in that belief. Really, the majority of people who took this poll think they should keep the name???
Even if you are as unintelligent as Bob here, you should still be able to see and understand that the Washington team name is disparaging. Anyone that has talked themselves into thinking this name is a point of pride is a fool. You wouldn't call a stranger that. There is no other context this term is "okay" let alone 'used.' In my family we call them the "Washington Racists." And that is what they will be until Goodell and Snyder pull their heads out...
Washington could keep a native american mascot and choose a name that was actually exalting...
