I believe most if not all e-log companys wont change back for sometime after the rule change and our computers will still have the old rules programmed I mean what is the cost involved in changing back to the old program I dont know that. What I do know is that no one I have spoke with from lawyer's to drivers has given me a good plausable theory on why us truckers can only take a 34 hour reset once every seven days and no theory on why we must take our reset with two periods between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. the answer I hear to that question is I dont know its just another stupid rule. And I agree. I mean who decided that too much rest was a safety issue. And who decided that we should all be asleep between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. BUT ONLY DURING OUR RESET. I would love a good hard facts driven answer to this question. So if someone can give me one please do so.
