Do you think labelling food products as suitable for vegetarians should become a legal requirement in the UK?

YES, I completely agree that ALL companies should make their products suitable for VEGETARIAN, VEGAN AND KOSHER. And ALL 3 of these signs should appear on packaging. But by saying this some people from some religions, e.g. Muslims, still need to be very careful when looking for veggie products, that they do not contain any alcohol. Some ice creams, ice lollies, ice cream lollies and fish products like, fish pies.(Some vegetarians still eat meat, it's Vegans who don't. Please do not be confused). I have lots of 44g box of Nestle Dairy Box to give out as gifts and though no V sign on it, the ingredients as far as I can tell seem to be absolutely fine. (Including the Whey - from milk, as it states in bold, twice. It also contains Lactose and Protein from whey - from milk). So come on Nestle, help us out here hey! PRINT THE SIGNS ON YOUR PRODUCTS, PLEASE. Warning- contains Hazelnuts.( Not good for nut allergy sufferers).

This is highly likely to be a survey containing self selecting participants.
For 99% of the respondents to request legal enforcement of labeling for veggie products is so improbable as to place the entire survey into the outliers statistical group.
It is unlikely (and I am the exception) that one would (a) end up here when not hunting for veggie stuff and (b) be bothered to respond if not a veggie that the survey is utterly invalid.

I wrote to Nestle in the 1990's to ask for their vegetarian list and suggest labelling would make things easier. In fairness to them back then nor did their rivals but nearly all have since added V's to their packaging so they need to catch-up. P.S. It was a present as I wouldn't of even bought it because of this!! Come on Nestle.
