How was the 'Crisis' finale?

Unsatisfactory ending. Finale seemed to just throw everything together in a slap dash manner to end it all. FBI and Secret Service always a day late and a dollar short. Kidnappers ALWAYS managed to have things work out for them. Ending was implausible. No one was checking out Gibson's house even after they suspected he harmed the First Lady? His wife never goes downstairs while he's breaking up the floor? They're swabbing his hands AFTER they let him wash them? He knows how to reach everyone, Secret Service and all, by text or phone? Then once his daughter realizes what he's done he starts devolving? A psych defense I guess. What was the mess with Max Martini and Jessica Dean Turner's characters? I'm sorry, but I found the ending flawed and unsatisfying. But then so much of the series was implausible I should have known better.
