Bigger is better visually, but in practice there is definitely a point where a potential partner, man or woman, is likely to sit staring at the thing like a deer caught in headlights, with a shiny drop of drool hanging from his or her lower lip (like in older cartoons). Not to mention, images of a corncob stuck in a mouse.
I think to be big enough to be visually appealing but still functional from both sides of the coin, a length of 7" is perfect.
