While I have confronted the offender from time to time, sometimes ignoring them with silence can send a powerful message. Besides, I don't want to give that person that much power over me that I would leave my job. I believe in karma, and it does come around. You just have to be patient.

While it is prudent to confront people who disrepct in a calm and professional manner, there is always the disrespectful boss or co-worker that will undermine your every move, at that point is best to move on to another job.
