Focus should be in improving the existing facilities, infrastructure ,sufficient and quality faculty in IITs, IIMs.This must be the top priority rather than adding more numbers. While doing the above the Government may plan to increase the number of intakes. There must be an act of balancing between the enhancement of existing facilities and increase in number of institutions. New institutions must be identified in North East,Bihar,Karnataka and Himachal Predesh.

AIIMs must come in Central India like Nagpur/Indoor,deep south in Kerala and in Assam.

Quality need to be maintained. Population increased. Kids getting much more educated these days and they are all enthusiastic about good education. This will help more savvy kids coming out of universities. Good for country. One thing is govt need to use these talents and should not let it go wasted in USA. So give them bond for free good educaiton. Work for India 5 years prior flying to USA>

IITs and IIMs are good for educating the youth of India. But current standards and status of newly built IITs don't justify their existence. Govt should work towards meeting the same/higher standards as IITs and IIMs held earlier.
Adding AIIMSs is a welcome step. Every state deserves to have such a medical facility. But the same responsibility of maintaining the standards is there.

There have to be a premier institute like the IIT, AIIMS, IIM in each city.. If the country needs growth, then it needs educated youth, educated entrepreneurs... I am not demeaning entrepreneurs educated from other institutes..

But we must understand that the abilities proved by these institutes over last 60-70 can not be ignored...

Govt should also invest in improving quality of teachers.. By making a good selection process, by creating love for that profession.. By giving adequate salaries and other required infrastructure right from villages to all metros.. Also giving respect to this profession of teaching...

If the educators are not good enough, they will not great good leaders.. Then irrespective of the brand under which they are teaching or these yet-to-be-leaders are studying...

It will be a very long time goal for govt but some where it has to start.. The teenagers should also say that after my education I will be a teacher in school or college.. And it should not be seen as a last option profession..

There is nothing wrong in Adding more Premier Institutes like IIM's, IITs and AIIMS as long as they maintain the standards.

If existing IIM's, IIT's and of the only AIIMS can work better, then we should think of adding only AIIMS but definitely not IIT'S OR IIM'S
