Barbara Walters was often the only true experienced news person on the show, remaining on topic while retaining her objectivity. She was the rare person who could give an opinion without forcing it down the throats of others., an element of class in a society that is quickly forgetting what that's like.

I was on the fence about watching when Walters retired; but that decision was made for me with the steady stream of ridiculous guest hosts that strolled across my screen each morning, attempting to wax philosophic. No thank you. I won't be watching. There's too much real entertainment on Netflix and HBO, and without the horrors of commercials! A double win for premium cable...

I love Whoopi, Sherri, Jenni because they are nice, funny, intelligent and non combative. Barbara, like her, however she is phony and arrogant, but she belong with the show. Joy, was ok, overbearing sometimes, and condescending, but ok on the show. Meredith was sorely misses when she left. Star, initially was great, and became to full of her self and sickening to listen/look at. Rosie has great personality that is not ready for sharing the spotlight. She is comparable to Starr, no one cares or wants to hear every aspect of their lives. If someone care that much, they would have their own long running show. And Liz H., was annoying as hell, whining all the time. Some people should not be grouped together. I started watching again after Rosie left, and Jenni joined the show. I will stop watching again. Rosie is too loud, combative and a bully.

It is embarrassing that they are desperate enough to bring back Rosie O'Donnell! Who wants to hear her big mouth again???
