only in Alberta would 2/3 of respondents say no to a front plate.

Yes every one should have a front plate. Not always is the car visible from the rear.It gives police, and the general public an extra oportunity to identify a suspicious vehicle. How many crimes havent been solved, or missing people not found because the vehicle plate was not identified. I agree with Alfredsson, it should be no big deal really.

^^ Yes those are the ONLY two reasons that can possibly exist in this discussion...In today's day it is almost impossible to NOT break a Statute while driving a motor vehicle. If the authorities could not easily identify the license plate and the 'crime' was not worth the police's time to investigate, then I feel a small sense of freedom. These so called 'bad guys' are ALL us, we are the ones that rolled through a stop sign, or change a lane without signalling, I'm the guy that does 110km/hr in the 100km/hr highway. Do I really deserve to be lumped into the 'bad guy' group? If someone robbed a store, or a hit and run, or any other serious 'crime' do we really think that a front license plate will help solve the crime?

People opposed to the plate on the front of their car are either: Vane. "It spoils the look of my beautiful, expensive bank-owned car." Or they are up to no good and don't like getting caught.
