If this was a boy/girl relationship there would be no question about prosecution. There are laws for a reason. If you can't follow them then you have to accept the consciences.

From what I have read, it seems the only resean the parents are doing anything, is because they think Kate "made" their daughter gay. Is this is what its about (if I'm wrong please correct me), then isn't this just the girls parents committing a hate crime against Kate because she is gay? I feel that this girls parents shouldn't be parents, this is the 21st century, they should realize it's ok to be gay. If they can't realize their wrongdoing, they shouldn't be parents. I do agree, that if they had a problem, they should have talked to Kates parents like normal human beings, instead they blow this whole matter out of proportion, and ruin 2 girls high school lives. This is inexcusable.

Definitely agree with what was mentioned..If you cant allow your children to be themselves..You shouldnt have kids. If they love eachother and are good to eachother...i dont see the wrong in it one bit! Free Kate : )

I believe that parents who discriminate should be the one's who are getting prosecuted. Can't love & accept your daughter for who she is? Don't have kids. You don't bring another human being into this world to try and control their life for them & tell them who to like and how to be.. in the end, you'll be the one's at rock bottom while your daughter swims with everyone else in a pool of Equality. FREE KATE!

I believe that if you can't accept your child/children for who they are and what they want to do with their own lives, then you don't deserve to have children. This is not fair to Kaitlyn or her girlfriend. We live in a free country where everyone is free to feel for whatever and whomever they want.
