This car tempted me a lot as I have had many Saabs and am intrigued by early turbocharged cars. I spoke to the owner in Pennsylvania, who runs a Saab and other makes dealership. It is all that it seems. At one point he was asking high 20s and it sat then too. What kept me from buying - and I hate speculators- is there seems to be almost zero interest in classic Saabs. It is sad as they were such great and INTERESTING cars before Detroit ruined them. I ended up buying a BMW 2002 turbo but there are days when I wonder what the Sabb would have been like. Someone will cherish this car I am sure.

Turbo Tester: WOW ~ If anybody could test drive a NEWLY BUILT '77 99 EMS today, I suspect they would buy it on the spot as I would like. I ran my poor Cardinal Red 99 ragged and parted with it at 300.000 miles. I still think that it would have been better to keep it and rebuild the motor. I didn't then realize that the internet could have kept me supplied with parts. I replaced it with a used '79 900 Turbo that drove fantastic until it creamed a full-grown deer and the body (the Saab's, not the deer) completely rusted out.
It's nice to see that some beautiful specimens are around .
