This was terrible seeding. The Message. White Lines. Beat Street. Each an all time classic. I am not saying that Flash & the 5 should beat RDMC, but they should have had a better opportunity to advance and been given a 5 seed or better.
Run DMC was the first group that really got me into hiphop. I loved the Fat Boys and a couple others but once I heard Peter Piper and My Adidas, it was over. I was like in Grade 3 or something, and it was a wrap. I became a lifer at that point.
yeah so this is basically this Malcom vs. Martin of Hip Hop. Or you can think of it of George Clinton vs. Snoop. Hard for sure. Lifetime Achievement would go to Run D.M.C, but that trophy would feature Run standing on Grandmaster Flash's shoulders even though they are semi-contemporaries.
