Goodie should have won this but I understand an entire coast is voting for Cypress Hill.

I remember seeing Cypress as a No. 3 seed when they announced it and thinking, "That seems a bit high."
I forgot after seeing the remains of the seeds, but the brackets means revisiting the biggest question of the tourney. CH deserves in the discussion, but a 3 seed is too much. Goodie Mob is good, a worthy 6-seed, but they'll lose here and it's a shame.
How do you grade this? Based on what was released under the group name or including solo projects from each member? If it's the latter, Goodie clearly coasts through. If it's the former, we might be hip hop heads here, but would Goodie be here just off their own work?

Goodie Mob as a 6-seed is a travesty of justice. For shame Jalen & Jacoby, for shame.

Cypress Hill should be in the bracket for WORST group of all time. Only college age pot heads think they are cool. In the words of West Side Connection, "The B in B-Real must stand for bitch!"

Wow...Goodie is getting screwed. Cypress is getting love cause they are ranked higher. Goodies best beats Cypress Hill's best anyday.

It's truly sad how how little recognition Goodie Mob receives for being the pioneering Southern rap group that they are. There was a time when they legitimately rivaled Outkast as the best group in Atlanta. People see Cee-Lo for the character that he represents now, but he's truly one of the best lyricists of all time. And people sleep on just how great Big Gipp & Khujo were. Goodie Mob has two albums that should certainly be considered near classic status. I respect Cypress Hill, but I always considered to be seriously overrated & more of a stoner gimmick. B-Real is just not that great of a rapper & the production lacks versatility. Goodie Mob >>>> Cypress Hill.

I never understood te hype around Cypress Hill and especially the productions by Muggs. They're just boring. After hearing one song you basically know how all other songs will sound.
And to the comment made by David Amidon about CH not cruising on their association with weed smoking: Bullshit, man. That's all that they are. I never met anyone listening to CH not being a smoker. ever.

DJ Muggs is severely underrated (he made RZA's production styles more mainstream/palatable) and Cypress Hill's first three albums are far less gimmicky than pop culture would have you believe. Unlike BTNH I don't think they cruise on their affiliation with weed smokers, though that's definitely a part of their culturally imprint.
But Goodie Mob getting beat so badly in this poll is just sad (as is the misspelling of their name - it's just Mob). Rappin' ass Cee-Lo Green was one of the most amazing, unique voices to ever grace a mic. Those first two records didn't find a group less talented or enlightened than OutKast by any stretch, and it's a shame they've been left to the record collections of hip-hop nerds for the most part. The Mob deserves better; maybe we're all still mad at them for making World Party (and that reunion album)?

Cypress should easily cruise to the third round. They have a classic album and a large fanbase. West Coast produced a lot of good groups it seems.
