When did you have your first shower after your cheilectomy?

Thank you for recommending the plastic cast protector for showering. I picked one up at CVS. When I woke up in the hospital, after surgery, the recovery nurse warned me strongly to not get the surgical site wet. Luckily, I had read your blog and was prepared. It was a little painful, putting the sleeve on over my foot and bandage, but once I figured out how to stretch the opening of the protector over my foot and to hold my foot horizontally to prevent pain to the wound, I was all set. I was so happy to take a shower, it was refreshing and easy to do with the cast protector. I wore a waterproof sandal on the other foot so I wouldn't slip in the shower. Thanks again!
