@ Chuck, I agree with you that it certainly looked as if Stewart tried to brush him, in my opinion to let him know, Hey I'm Tony Stewart. As another mentioned he should not have been on the track, but hey c'mon you can't use an automobile as a weapon. It's all conjecture on everyone's part but the eye test tells me the accident sure could have been avoided. He was intending go race the next day until his management corrected that decision. That only tells me what a selfish, insensitive ass he is. He's a well documented bully and is not in control of his temper.....now he's killed a young boy. Personally he makes me sick

It looked like Stewart meant to spin him out not long before the accident. My first thought was what is this dumb kid doing? The rest of the drivers are still hauling ass and you are gonna die. Stewarts car looked to be going up the track as he hit him. Only Tony Stewart knows what he was doing at the time.

He was lucky not to be hit by any other cars that passed before Stewart. Am I the only one who thinks walking on to a dark racetrack with cars racing by at high speed is an idiot move? What was he hoping to achieve with this, another accident? Racers are under enough pressure concentrating on corners and other vehicles, and are not expecting to come across some fool taking a stroll on the track. It was reckless behaviour on Ward's part. If he wasn't on the track, he would be alive. If he survived the accident, i'd be charging him with the reckless endangerment of the lives of other racers, as all it would have taken was a car to swerve to avoid him, and ended up in a barrier. It's a shame a man is dead, but he bears full responsibility for acting in such a dangerous and childish manner.
It almost looks like Tony was possibly surprised and tried to kick the rear of his car away from Ward. You would have to throttle up to get the back to kick away. I don't think Tony ' s temper was active at that moment. ...because he was not out of the race.
