My commute used to be riding the bus from Reston to West Falls Church metro station and then riding metro to my DC destination. Now I ride a bus to the Reston metro station and then take the silver line train to downtown DC. The silver has provided me more convenience attributed to extended bus service, but my commute is at least ten minutes longer and the daily expense increased from $11.40 to $15.30 per day. Given a choice I would rather go back to my previous daily commute.
