Democratic super PAC raises big sum for Senate fights
By Fredreka Schouten April 15, 2014 7:14 pm ET
WASHINGTON — The Senate Majority PAC raised $11 million during the first three months of the year — a big sum as the group focuses on helping Democrats retain their majority in the U.S. Senate, new Federal Election Commission reports show.
The first-quarter haul exceeds the $8.6 million the super PAC raised in all of 2013. The big donors writing checks this year include Chicago media mogul Fred Eychaner, who gave $4 million, and hedge fund founder James Simons, who contributed $2 million
Retiring West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, one of the wealthiest members of Congress, tapped his fortune to donate $250,000. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., gave $100,000 through his leadership PAC. Several labor unions wrote six-figure checks, including the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Pipefitting Industry, which gave $500,000.

Yes, with the combination of Amanda Curtis and John Lewis, Montana will have representation for the working class vs. government controlled by corporations and the privileged few.
