As you know, I don't often get 'round to reading your long posts. I wish I did more because they usually make me think about stuff I'm interested in. I, like many folks online, am either trying to get something done or trying to escape into valid content. Intersting short pieces ping my interest, but cute kittens and schadenfreude remain popular because of not having to work to get the payoff. Of course you already know all this, but your poll brought it out of me. :)
I am slightly more in favor of an audio podcast for more involved and thought provoking pieces because I have time on transit to listen to my favorite podcasts.
