It would be a fairytale ending to a remarkable debut in the Red Bull. If Rosberg and Hamilton keep tripping over each other he is in with a reasonable chance. He has has the wood over Vettel so far this season. Red Bull reduced the downforce on the car at Spa and this gave it more speed. Subtle changes for the remainder of the season could be fruitful. Had it not been for his unfortunate disqualification in Melbourne and another slip up by Red Bull in a following race where he had a DNF who knows what the leader board would have looked like. All Austrlia can but dream. However in reality I think he will finish 3rd in the championship or at best outside chance 2nd.

I'd love nothing more than to see the Mercedes drivers continue to trip each other up and our man Dan clinch the silverware but I can't see that happening unfortunately :-(
Glad to see Red Bull have finally discovered straightline speed is vital to passing & defending positions on track.

It would be great but I voted no.
Mercedes are ridiculously quick that no other car can touch them.
I would bet on it being impossible but I would absolutely love to be proven wrong.

Cars that are 1 - 2 seconds quicker a lap are unbeatable unless they have their issues, which lets face it, isn't likely to happen enough times for Ricciardo to win the championship.

Good luck Dan, but it isn't likely.

Not enough rounds in the Championship to make it a realistic possibilty
