10 values of FreeLab
Freedom as the commons. We all need to preserve and expand the area of freedom for the good of all.
Freedom before Anarchy. People are free to organize their social life any way they want.
Anarchy is not for everyone. It is more the way of moral self-formation, than a social system to conquer the world.
Humanity needs diversification. No uniform model, no socio-political franchise should be dominant. We need networks, not blocks.
Social skills are crucial. No survival without community. No community without social skills.
Revolution through obsolescence. If we want to change the social model, we need to build and prove another, better one first.
Resilience needed badly. We need to design community, to utilise individual strengths and to leverage individual weaknesses.
Appropriate technology. There is no lo-tech or hi-tech. There only appropriate (or unappropriate) technology.
Networking in the flesh, storytelling as the code. We get back to traditional ways of human networking: travel, meeting people and exchanging meaningful stories.
Individual in peace with community. The community is as much for the people, as the people are for the community.
