I live and work close the AAF proposed high speed train route and I realize that this area is simply not suited for this proposed situation. First of all the situation will be dangerous I dont care what anyone tells me.Then you have traffic delays flowing on to US1 into lanes not designed for this. A TERRIBLE thought. Then the noise, how unfair is this to people who live by the tracks? WHO CARES??? and then what beneifts the town of Vero Beach?.... NADA....not to mention the way it will look traveling down US1...I thought we were doing a great job beautifying Vero Beach & US1.....KEEP THIS TRAIN OUT....LEAVE VERO ALONE ......

This is an excellent plan to improve mass transit in Florida, but the proposed route is extremely flawed. Everyone who lives near or crosses the right of way will be adversely affected. The AAF folks must build their on track system to the west of major built up areas and leave the rest of us in peace. Vote No and be heard or we will be steam rolled.

IF ' AAF BECOMES A REALITY, IT WILL BE ONE MORE INDICATION THAT THE FLORIDA INMATES ARE RUNNING THE ASYLUM!

My opinion is that this rail line will end up supporting freight after the passenger line inevitably goes bankrupt. Then, there will be little to no likelihood that the conversion of these 32 additional trains to freight could be successfully opposed once approved for passengers. This project's goal is to fail, and be converted to freight, in order to support additional freight transfer from the port expansions in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach.

The history of passenger rail service on the east coast of the US shows that they all fail financially. Without government subsidies, they become bankrupt and service terminates. Those that continue require government assistance to do so. These bond holders will be left holding worthless paper while the communities along the right of way will suffer inconvenience, public safety challenges, noise pollution and downward pressure on property values. There are no positives for those north of West Palm.

If approved, this will be the biggest scam ever. It will make the S & L scandal and the last Bank mortgage loan scams seem like child play. Also, if approved, it will mean that Congress has the IQ of an idiot!!! Along with the President!!!

That AAF would continue to try and ram this insane plan down the throats of Treasure Coast residents speaks mightily to the degree of corporate arrogance in America. Whether its Indian River Lagoon pollution or the high speed trains countless negative aspects, Big Money is hell-bent on destroying our lives while they line their pockets with the filthy lucre of their greed.
