Is Vancouver street food overpriced?

I love going to a nice restaurant or lounge, enjoying the atmosphere, a craft beer, delicious inventive cuisine made with local and sustainable ingredients. When I stop for a bite on the street I'm looking for Fast & Cheap. So yeah, I do think the food trucks in Van are a bit overpriced.

What about those of us whose priority is the food, not where it came from. Being 'local' is great but I can got to half the restaurants in Vancouver and get that. If I'm going to a food truck I want cheap food with responsible portions. When these local conscious trucks set their prices higher, for good reason, the rest of the trucks set comparable prices because that's now the norm. I blame the city. Start releasing more permits, open the market back up and get these food trucks competing for customers again. More variety, more food truck festivals, lower pricing... More customers...
