We are volunteers with AARP Tax-Aide. They do taxes from Feb 1 to April 15. This is a free service for seniors and low income people. Check for help like this in your area. VITA and the military bases also usually have volunteer preparers that offer this service for no cost.

My husband is a 100% disabled vet who also retired from the Army. We do not pay Federal income taxes. Due to him being a disabled vet, the state of Texas does not charge property or school taxes. He is also over 65.
