Should LA be able to ban restaurants locally?

    If the government wants to get involved, fine. But first they have to admit that they were wrong. That'll never happen.

    They will have to change the food pyramid. Currently it is upside down. Completely bass-ackwards.

    I think that the obesity epidemic will continue to rise if they do not fix the pyramid.

    Also, if they want to ban something they should start with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and start cutting SUGAR.

    Like I said... admitting they were WRONG though, will NEVER happen.

    The target is people who eat at these restaurants, that is, the people who we are supposed to help. One way to defeat this stupididy is to run for city council. A good internet campaign could give publicity to somebody in an election which would not normally generate much interest. Fast food as a culprit is the creation of the nutritional establishment that has failed to take any responsibility for the obesity epidemic that occurred on their watch. Their ideas are adopted by politicians who know even less about science than they do. What other disease state can you get away with blaming the patient?
