She is certainly a memorable character in many of the movies that she worked in. My personal favorites are "Move Over, Darling" (she played the mother-in-law and helped take care of the kids), "With a Song in My Heart" (where her performance as Susan Hayward's nurse/friend really shone and helped make the movie more interesting) and strangely I vividly remember her small, uncredited part in "Miracle on 34th Street" where she takes the manager aside and tells him that she loves their new marketing gimmick and though she doesn't shop at Macy's much she'll be doing more business there in the future.

I chose Rear Window but really thought Pickup on South Street was her finest portrayal.
