B.C. teachers have ratified a six-year contract, ending the months-long strike and allowing school to finally start.
The teachers won — clause E-80 was removed.
The government won — it secured a six-year deal and taxes aren't going up.
This is the best possible negotiated settlement between both parties at this time.
The government needs to raise B.C.'s per student funding so it's on par or better than that of the other Canadian provinces.
