Very interesting reading and thank you for taking the time to write it. I voted 'north' - but frankly, it is a 'protest' or 'support' vote - my own feeling is you should simply go where the wind or fancy takes you[being soft, I'd probably prefer warmer waters] But I loathe this world of over-regulation, and think the responsibility for your well-being belongs, first and foremost, to you and nobody else - with the caveat that, in worst case scenario, very brave men risk their own lives to rescue you. In that single respect, you do have a responsibility to them too. If you would never call on any services for help - nobody has the right to tell how to live or die. Fantastic read and some great links. Thank you for sharing your account with the world. It's a real shame that the controlled media hide stories like this from the masses. In this day and age of overzealous health and safety and oppressive regulation it is hugely refreshing to learn that there are still real explorers and adventurers pushing mankinds boundaries.
