Should Governor LePage take part in the gubernatorial debates?

Public debates are part of our political process. They give the public a chance to see how a candidate explains his or her views in more than just a sculpted sound bite or press release. I don't think LePage cares enough about the public to understand that.

In my opinion governor LePage should not be our governor is rude remarks are unprofessional as the governor changing his mind about debating just shows that it feels he is too good for that I say in November we show him that we need a new governor that wants to work for Maine people

He should not be forced to participate for the very reason he stated. He does not believe Social Security is welfare, he has made that very clear, yet the MIchaud campaign has made that part of their very underhanded campaign . He should not have to face a deceitful adversary.
