How fucked up is it that I pronounce "homemade" as "whole made" when I'm referring to something wholesome?
That's fucked up. It makes me cringey when people pronounce words incorrectly. Also, "cringey" isn't a real word and I don't appreciate you forcing me to use it.
Meh. As long as you don't say "flustrated" or "liberry" I pretty much let it slide.
Wait. I'm NOT supposed to pronounce it "whole made"?
Technically I think "whoremade" is a real word if it's something made by whores. Like orgasms. Or shame. Depends on the situation, probably.
English is a living language which is constantly growing and changing, so it's impossible to misuse or mispronounce a word. Unless you say "jewry" instead of "jewelry". That shit is unacceptable.
"Dr. Seuss" was so mispronounced that he finally just gave up and used the mispronunciation himself. It's supposed to be pronounced "Doctor Zoice." (Rhymes with "voice".) Conclusion: All bets are off.
