You can he LOVES playing the game! As a fan it is very refreshing to see him always smiling-I go to the game to escape and enjoy a game and he seems to understand how cool it is to be paid to play a game.

It has to be Pena. He was a great catcher for Johnny Cueto. And a very valuable 1st base man in the absence of Joey Votto.

I've gotta go with Pena.

Hard to choose a "newbie". Kristopher Negron did a great job, extremely versatile and the same with Skip Schumaker. But I have to say, Brayan Pena gets my vote! Great job as battery mate for Johnny Beisbol Cueto and really stepped up when asked to play 1st base. I hope he's back in 2015!

I think Pena was the best but Skippy was a close second. At least for heart and soul.

Pena was about the only player I've seen this year that had any heart, soul and hustle. Good player, pumps up the bench and clubhouse.

Imagine the team without Pena this past year. Can't do it! He was an integral part of the team in every facet: clutch hits, injury substitute for Votto and Meso, and the heart and soul of the team.

Literally had to flip a coin. Pena with Negron & Diaz very close behind. Hope they'll be up full time in 2015

This one was tough. I voted for Pena simply because I believe he was a large part of Cueto's success, as well as becoming an indispensable part of our 1B rotation, and his overall positive attitude was crucial. Negron was a close 2nd for me due to his stellar play, but he simply didn't play enough games getting called up later in the season to warrant my vote.
