People with Fibromyalgia - what gender are you?

A guy here. I think part of the problem is that most guys aren't ever going to even see this poll, or answer it. From what I understand it's pretty well known that many, if not most, men don't seek out help for this or spend time looking for stuff on the internet about it, joining forums, posting, etc. Especially older guys who aren't necessarily even all that comfortable with the internet. I fear this poll will just continue to support the presumption that women far outnumber men with fibromyalgia. It's unfortunate.

I knew, being a male sufferer of Fibromyalgia that I was in the minority, but 8% seems really low. Hard to tell from percentages if you simply got more females to respond or whether that percentage is backed by other stats? Thanks!

The more I am trying to follow the latest research; Health Rising Fibromyalgia, ME/ CFS It seems to be a neuro immune disease. I care because it is literally killing me. Keep trying to find a Dr who is aware of the latest brain, Spinal fluid, and bio markers. If anyone knows any on the East Coast please share. Thanks
