Do you think men’s restrooms in public buildings should have changing tables?

My husband and father of our daughter said "No, those businesses that offer a public restroom should not be required to have changing stations in either gender restroom." The business should have the choice!

I'm assuming the no answers are from people who don't have kids... :/

If there is not an option to have a "family restroom" for this purpose, then yes there absolutely should be changing stations in BOTH the women's AND men's restrooms. To the lady worried about an enclosed station in the men's rooms due to possible "creeps," don't forget: WOMEN CAN BE CREEPS TOO! Which means, in reality, ALL restrooms should have an enclosed station to do this. And, why not? I mean, WE have the option to use an enclosed stall for privacy, why not our babies/toddlers too?

We have twin boys, and it would be nice if my husband and I could reach be changing one at the same time instead of me trying to juggle both of them in the (sometimes very small) women's restroom!

If a women's restroom has a changing station there should be one in the men's. My kids are as equally deserving of having a safe sanitary option for having their soiled diapers changed as a kid being accompanied by a mom.

Not only should it be required for men's restrooms, it should be enforced in women's restrooms too. I can't tell you how many family focused places I've been to with my kids and there wasn't even a changing station in the women's restrooms (various McDonald's and burger kings even). We're expected to either sit on the dirty floor in the bathroom or do it on a table out in public. No-one wants to see that while they're eating and no one wants to lay their babies on the bathroom floor. Single dad's, dad's out with their children, same sex parents, male family members even all deserve to have a clean, convenient changing station. Not to mention the children needing changing.

Parents need to change diapers. Men are parents too. It makes it difficult for men, women and children when changing tables are not available. If a changer is not available the caretaker is forced to change the child out in the open. No one wants to change or be changed in front of others regardless of how "creepy" the strangers are. Not to mention, most people don't want to witness a diaper change while shopping or dining.

There have been many times when I've been nursing our newborn and my husband tried to change our toddler and there was no place for him to do so. Not to mention all the times he's had the kids out by himself.

I think all bathrooms should have changing stations! I went to a restaurant the other day and neither bathroom had one!

I'm saying yes-although I don't think the changing tables should be out in the open in the men's room-it should be in a private stall so creepy men can't sneak a peek at the children while they're being changed! My daughter had to go into the men's room with my husband once, and she was scared to go in there..I just think there should be family bathrooms everywhere, so either mom or dad can change their baby in private.
