Do you think the Ebola threat has been overhyped by the government and media?

I truly believe Obama is about the most incompetent president this country has EVER elected.

I think we have reason for some concern; however, I don't think it's necessary for media or politicians to set their hair on fire and create panic. The 24 hour news cycle is hungry for any fodder and politicians are hungry for ways to score points. It may be a good idea to look at the Texas aversion to any attempt for government to step in and take control of a serious situation and consider the state's lack of funding for health care in general. A travel ban can be circumvented fairly easily, and I'd rather we had the opportunity to screen people at airports. Certainly mistakes have been made; and they should be rectified. But panic incited by media and politicians is really shameful. Let's try to pull together and work toward practical, effective solutions. That would be a welcome change.

I actually think that the Government is minimizing the outbreak, like everything they do. We are NEVER cruelly informed. They need to close down the borders...that's what other countries do. If they need to get supplies etc into Africa, they should use private charted or military planes. Don't use public transportation. Soon, we (Americans) won't be able to even go out to dinner because we don't know who is handling our food etc. It really scares me. They (the government) always comes back at a later date to say.."sorry, we didn't know it was so serious". Do I blame the President? Mostly, (and I voted for him) but congress just says how badly he is doing, but once again, no suggestions or solutions.
